Tehran (IP) - Iran's Acting Foreign Minister said the country needs to present its policies in the form of regional and international mechanisms for reaching its goals.

Ali Bagheri told Iran Press on Wednesday that Iran's membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is strategically important in terms of multilateral regional and international mechanisms. 

Bagheri referred to his participation in the BRICS summit underway and said that the meeting of the BRICS FMs and the friend of BRICS on the second day of the summit showed that BRICS has been globally welcomed. 

Bagheri also said that on the sidelines of the summit, he met with other countries' foreign ministers including the foreign ministers of China and Russia with the focus of expanding bilateral relations.

The acting FM of Iran referred to the cooperation document signed between Iran and Russia and said that the implementation of the document is going on well despite the incident that happened for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his colleagues.  

Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi along with his companions were on board on the way from Tabriz, northwestern Iran, to Tehran when their helicopter crashed on Sunday, May 19, and all were martyred. 204
