Iran Press/ Iran news: The US Secretary of States Antony Blinken threatened that in case Iran insisted on its rights in the Vienna talks on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the US would withdraw the negotiations.
In reaction to the US official, the Spokesman of Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs Saeed Khatibzadeh wrote on Tuesday: "US has already walked away from the JCPOA. We must make sure it won't happen again."
Iran's international nuclear agreement or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, and re-imposed more sanctions on Iran.

Khatibzadeh wrote: "Everyone has its own plan B, though US' has proven hollow. Blusters & bluffs have/will not work. Decisions do. A deal is at hand, if WH makes its mind. Iran is willing, but will not wait forever."
The eighth round of sanctions talks begun in Vienna on December 27 is ongoing in Vienna, after a short break, but without the US.
The Vienna talks have advanced due to the Iranian side's initiatives, yet the Western parties' procrastination to compensate for the US violation of the internationally-signed the JCPOA and its ongoing maximum pressure policy against Iran, indicate the West's lack of tendency to wrap up the negotiations.
