Iran Press/Iran news: Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri said: "We are here today to receive a report on the progress of working in flood-affected areas, and what else we need to do. So the conclusion of this trip could lead us to send the remaining of armed forces facilities to the flood-hit area".
He added: " We will continue to work with strength to help people to get back to their homes", Iran Press reported.
Iranian top general also pointed to assisting to flood-affected people in the field of food delivery and treatment and said: " With the deployment of field hospitals in the region, seven thousand people have been treated in these hospitals."
He also stressed on the importance of the security of people in flooded-hit areas and added: "Law Enforcement force and Basij forces were able to establish security by creating patrols."
The floods, caused by torrential rain, have affected 25 of Iran’s 31 provinces in recent days, with Golestan in the north and Fars in the south, among the most severely affected ones.
