Tehran (IP) - The Iranian President, in a telephone conversation, congratulated the appointment of Shehbaz Sharif as the new Pakistani Prime Minister and expressed hope that the relations and cooperation between the two nations and the governments will expand even more in various fields.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, in his message, stated that Iran-Pakistan relations are based on deep historical and cultural ties and closeness, adding: "The Islamic Republic of Iran, within the framework of the policy of strengthening and deepening relations with its neighbors and Islamic countries, is fully ready to go ahead with its policy to strengthen relations with the neighboring and brotherly country of Pakistan, expressing assurance that the two nations will continue to take steps to boost bilateral cooperation in light of their deep-rooted historical and cultural bonds."

Raisi expressed his hope that the new government of Pakistan will be able to take long and successful steps towards the progress and growth of this country for the success of him and the new government and Pakistani nation.

In this telephone conversation, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, while appreciating the kindness and congratulations of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed hope that the relations between the two countries will improve in all dimensions in the light of the will of the leaders and the joint efforts of the officials of the two governments.
