Iran Press/ Asia: In a meeting with Puan Maharani, Speaker of the People's Representative Council of Indonesia on Tuesday evening, Ebrahim Raisi emphasized the need to improve Tehran-Jakarta relations, referring to the existing capacities in the two countries.
He stated, "Despite the cruel threats and sanctions, the Islamic Republic of Iran has made great progress and has achieved capabilities that create good capacities for the development of relations between the two countries".
Appreciating Indonesia's positions in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine and Afghanistan, the President considered the development of relations in line with the interests of the two countries, the people of the region, and Muslims.
Raisi referred to the talks and documents signed with the Indonesian authorities and said, "There are no obstacles in the way of the development of relations between the two countries".
For her part, Puan Maharani announced the support of the Indonesian parliament for the agreements made during this visit and stated, "I am sure that the relations between the two countries will develop not only in the political field but also in the economic and medical fields, especially pharmaceutical production".
