Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian will leave Tehran for Ashgabat on Thursday evening at the invitation of his counterparty Berdimuhamedov.

Iran PressIran news: Pezeshkian will attend the commemoration ceremony of the 300th demise anniversary of the Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy and have meetings with the Turkmen authorities.

He will deliver a speech at the conference "Mutual Relation between Eras and Civilizations-Basis for Peace and Development" on the occasion of the very commemoration ceremony.

Iran's President is scheduled to meet his Turkmen and Russian counterparts during the two-day visit. 

Born in Iran, Magtymguly Pyragy was a Turkmen spiritual leader, philosophical poet, Sufi, and traveler who is considered the most famous figure in Turkmen literary history.

Magtymguly is the greatest representative of Turkmen literature, credited with the creation of Turkmen written literature, and whose literary form became a powerful symbol of the historical and the incipient national consciousness of the Turkmen people.

The poems of the Turkmen poet have been translated into many languages of the world, including English, Russian, Kyrgyz, and Romanian.
