Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking to Iran's Minister of Sport and Youth, Masoud Soltanifar on Saturday, President Hassan Rouhani expressed his satisfaction over the growth in women's sports in recent competitions.
The Iranian president also called for the support of women's sports and Iran's national football team, Iran Press reported.
He pointed out that the development of sport and women's sport in particular, are the keys to government planning in sports in the new year. President Rouhani also called for a level playing field for these two sectors.
President Rouhani praised young people, and the activities of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, including the provision of more than 1,000 sports venues to flood victims in the recent flood crisis.
During the one-hour meeting with the president, the Sports and Youth Minister, Soltanifar presented a brief summary of the performance of his ministry to Rouhani.
