Moscow (IP) - The Commander of Iran's Police Force said that Iran and Russia were interested in cooperating in security and law enforcement areas.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Chief of Police visited Moscow last week to meet with Russian security and law enforcement officials.

Brigadier General Ahmadreza Radan, at the end of his three-day trip to Moscow, told Iran Press correspondent that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Iran and Russia over security and law enforcement, showing the two countries shared interests in police cooperation. 

General Radan stated that Tehran-Moscow's common interests and the Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and Russia paved the way for more cooperation between the two countries. 

He enumerated Iran and Russia's cooperation in countering terrorism, fighting extremism, securing cyberspace, combating narcotics, border security, and citizens' affairs.  

During his three-day trip to Russia last Tuesday, the Iranian Police Chief visited the Commander of the Russian National Guard and exchanged views on police cooperation with his counterpart.
