Alireza Miryousefi, spokesman for the Iranian mission at the United Nations

Iran on Tuesday said its missile program was not up for negotiation after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told a White House cabinet meeting that Iran had signalled it was prepared to negotiate about its missile programme.

Iran PressAmerica: “Iran’s missiles ... are absolutely and under no condition negotiable with anyone or any country, period,” Alireza Miryousefi, spokesman for the Iranian mission at the United Nations, wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, The Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on Twitter described Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif's interview with NBC Lester Holt as accurate and intelligent.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
