Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Sadegh Ziaeian noted that the World Meteorological Organization has divided the meteorology of different countries into different regions and Iran is the second in Asia, where it has one of the most advanced forecasting centers that even provides services to neighboring countries.
Fortunately, last year all the natural incidents that led to danger were observed and the necessary measures were issued to the related organizations.
The director of the National Emergency Management of Drought and Meteorological Disasters stated: "We believe that accuracy of our forecast in this forecast center is above 80% in general cases and above 90% in times of danger such as floods, storms, or other things, and last year we were able to anticipate all the risks."
The natural incidents are predictable a few days before their occurrence and to predict them, short-term forecasts are reliable, he said.
From the beginning of the year (starting at March 21) until the autumn, all dangerous natural phenomena such as floods, temperature decrease, and other events were predicted, so it is expected to have a normal winter; "A normal winter is a winter with all its characteristics" ahead, especially in the northern part of the country with predicted precipitations, he highlighted.
