Iran Press/ Iran news: During the meeting, the Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad on behalf of the Syrian government condemned the recent terrorist act that led to the martyrdom of the top Iranian scientist Mosen Fakhrizadeh.
He said: "It is a source of pride that the Islamic Republic of Iran and its armed forces continue to move forward despite the hostility of the United States and the Zionist Regime."
“Certainly, these assassinations will not stop Iran in its development in science and defense,” he stressed.
Brigadier General Amir Hatami also thanked the Syrian Foreign Minister for attending the ceremony of signing the memorial note of Martyr Fakhrizadeh and congratulated him on his appointment as the new Syrian foreign minister.
The minister of defense emphasized that the enemy does not hesitate to take any action against the Iranian nation, as it has been the case against the Syrian nation in recent years, but part of the enemy's actions are the result of desperation like the cowardly act in the assassination of Lt. General Soleimani and Fakhrizadeh.
Gen. Hatami stressed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s determination to continue cooperation with Syria in the Middle Eastern country’s reconstruction.
