Iran gas exports increased by 3.6 billion cubic meters

Tehran (IP) - The Deputy Minister of Oil for Gas Affairs Hassan Montazer Torbati said that Iran's gas exports in the last Iranian year (starting on March 21) have increased by 26 percent, or 3.6 billion cubic meters.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for Gas Affairs Hassan Montazer Torbati referring to the registration of new records of gas production, transmission, distribution, and export in the last Iranian year, announced the unprecedented recording of natural gas exports in the country this year.

Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for Gas Affairs stated that in the last four months of last year, the average daily consumption of domestic gas increased by 55 million cubic meters compared to the same period in 2018. 

He added that despite the jump in domestic gas consumption, a new record was achieved last year for the country's gas exports.

"In 2019, the average gas exports increased by about 3 billion and 600 million cubic meters compared to 2018. In total, in 2019, Iran's gas exports experienced a 26% jump compared to its previous year."
