Iran Press/ Africa: Iran's Ambassador to Dakar, Hassan Asgari, sat down with Alioune Ndoye, Senegalese Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, on July 18, discussing the cooperation between Iran and Senegal in environment and urban development.
The meeting was hosted by Dakar.
According to a tweet from the Iranian Embassy in Senegal, the Iranian envoy extended an invitation to the Minister of Environment of Senegal to attend a conference on Sand and Dust Storms in Tehran.
Both the Iranian and Senegalese representatives stressed the importance of worldwide collaboration in tackling the pervasive and transnational problems of sand and dust storms.
The meeting further included discussions about the bilateral cooperation of Iran-Senegal in environmental issues, with the Senegalese side enjoying Iran's experience in urban development, waste and garbage disposal, wildlife, and protected parks.
