Iran Press/ Europe: The second round of the fourth stage of the 2021 World Cup in Sochi, Russia, was held on Friday with three representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the following results:
Grandmaster Mohammad Amin Tabatabai, who due to his encouraging victory in the first round against Grandmaster Pentala Harikrishna, the Asian champion from India, only needs a draw to advance to the fifth stage, which fortunately Tabatabai won in the second game in a 115 move marathon to equalize the movement of the game in order to show its powerful ascent to the opponents in addition to making history.
Grandmaster Pouya Idani also drew with Polish Grandmaster Krzysztof Doda in the first game of the fourth round, but in the second round he could not defeat his powerful Polish opponent and finally missed the fifth round of the tournament.
Grandmaster Sarasadat Khademalsharieh, ended the game in a draw in the first round, as did Pouya Idani but in the second round she could not win against Tan Zhonyi great master, former world champion, and was prevented from advancing to the fifth round.
