Tehran (IP) - The Director General of Iran's National Oil Company (NOIC) reported the resumption of Iran-Saudi Arabia oil cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: Mohsen Khojasteh-Mehr said on Tuesday that the preparations for Tehran-Riyadh oil cooperation have been done and the necessary admissions for increasing production have been received for all joint fields.

Pointing out that there is no joint field between Iran and Saudi Arabia that has not been dealt with, Khojasteh-Mehr stated that there is full preparation to start drilling in the Arash joint field.

With the mediation of China, after seven years, Iran and Saudi Arabia improved their relations and reopened their embassies in Tehran and Riyadh. The important agreement was welcomed by the countries of the West Asian region as well as other ones.

On June 17, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan visited Tehran for the first time after the restoration of ties between the two countries.
