Iran Press/ Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri, Ambassador of Iran to Armenia, stated that Armenia is Iran's land bridge with the Eurasian Economic Union member states, which is an important capacity for the two countries to expand bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation.
Ambassador also added: "After a month-long halt of trading between the two countries, exports and imports between Iran and Armenia have now returned to the pre-Corona era."
"Iran and Armenia have great potential for cooperation in various fields, and the Joint Commission has identified all the basic requirements for cooperation," Mr. Zohouri added.
He stressed that the specialized talks between Iran and Armenia are taking place step by step in various fields within the framework of the Joint Commission on Cooperation.
Abbas Zohouri stated that various projects are being implemented between Iran and Armenia; one of these projects is the road construction project from the Norduz border to Yerevan.
The diplomat added that another plan is the third line of Iranian gas exports to Armenia, in exchange for receiving electricity from this country, which increases the share of electricity received. 207/216
