Iran Press/ Europe: At a meeting held at the Russian Ministry of Health in Moscow on Wednesday, Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Education and Head of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran Mohammad Reza Shanesaz, and Alexandra Dronova, Deputy Minister of Health of Russia, signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of health, treatment, pharmacy, and education.
The first shipment of the Russian Corona vaccine called "Sputnik V" was sent to Iran on February 4, and the second shipment is scheduled to be sent to Iran tomorrow, Thursday.
Heading a delegation, Mohammad Reza Shanehsaz arrived in Moscow on Sunday. He is scheduled to visit the production line of a Russian vaccine factory in one of the provinces of this country on Tuesday.
On Monday, at a ceremony held at the Gamaleya Institute as the developer of Sputnik V, a memorandum of understanding on research and development related to COVID-19 between the Pasteur Institute of Iran and the Gamaleya Institute of Russia was signed by the Head of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration Mohammad Reza Shanehsaz and representatives of the Russian Ministry of Health.
On Tuesday, the delegation from Iran's Ministry of Health visited the Russian vaccine production line in the Russian province of Vladimir.
Mohammad Reza Shanesaz said that the purpose of the visit was for Iran to get familiar with Russian vaccine technology in order to jointly cooperate in the development of vaccines.
