Iran Press/ Europe: The MoU was signed as the Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran is having a visit to Moscow.
At a ceremony held at the Gamaleya Institute as the developer of Sputnik V, a memorandum of understanding on research and development related to COVID-19 between the Pasteur Institute of Iran and the Gamaleya Institute of Russia was signed by Head of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration Mohammad Reza Shanehsaz and representatives of the Russian Ministry of Health.
On behalf of Russia, Sergei Glagolev, Advisor to the Minister of Health, and Alexander Khavayev, Deputy Director of the Gamaleya Institute signed the MoU.
At this meeting, the two sides stressed the continuation of bilateral cooperation.
Heading a delegation, Mohammad Reza Shanehsaz arrived in Moscow on Sunday. He is scheduled to visit the production line of a Russian vaccine factory in one of the provinces of this country on Tuesday.
On February 4, the first cargo of Russia's COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Tehran by an Iranian airliner.
