Tehran (IP) - The deputy of Iran's foreign minister for economic diplomacy denied the Western propaganda spread by Western media regarding the failure of the Iranian overhauled refiner in Venezuela as a lie.

Iran PressIran News: Mehdi Safari said: It has been claimed that some of the repaired refineries in Venezuela have gone out of service after some time due to some reasons, while the cooperation in this regard and within the framework of the plans is being followed up and so far one refinery has reached the production stage.

Yet, Iran has not overhauled any refinery in Venezuela, and the news that the refinery set up by Iran has failed is a complete lie, the diplomat highlighted.

It has been observed that the Tehran-Caracas trade relations have experienced significant growth in recent years. However, the Western media has been publishing false and misleading news, along with inaccurate information about these relations.

Despite this, the cooperation between the two countries remains strong in various fields, and there is a positive outlook for further expansion and strengthening of this cooperation, Safari underscored.

The Deputy Minister emphasized: Iran and Venezuela are under cruel sanctions, and it is evident that the two countries need to act with complete vigilance against the opponents of relations and those who benefit from the sanctions. Based on this, we cannot talk about the details of cooperation that will benefit them.
