Iran Press/Iran news: In a tweet on the occasion of the anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacres, Iran's foreign ministry referred to the 1948 Palestinian mass migration known as the Day of Nakba (disaster), saying: "The Sabra and Shatila massacre was a result of the Nakba Day, and the so-called Deal of Century is the second Nakba, which aims at the perpetual occupation of the Palestinian lands."
"Any solution that disregards the Palestinians' wishes and vote is null and void," it added.
On September 16, 1982, following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, the right-wing Christian Phalange militia stormed the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in West Beirut and began a massacre that ended in the deaths of hundreds, maybe thousands, of mostly Palestinian civilians.
