Iranian, Qatari FMs begin first round of talks

Doha (IP) – The first round of talks between the Iranian Foreign Minister and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani commenced in Doha.

Iran PressMiddle East: Before this meeting, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.

Amir-Abdollahian discussed bilateral, regional, and international issues with the Emir of Qatar.

Doha is the second destination of the Iranian foreign minister's regional tour.

Amir-Abdollahian had previously met in Muscat with his Omani counterpart Badr Albusaidi and Deputy Prime Minister Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said on Monday.

The Iranian foreign minister also met the chief negotiator of the Yemeni National Salvation Government, Mohammad Abdulsalam, in Muscat.

Iranian Foreign Minister in Muscat stressed that his trip to Oman and Qatar was in line with reinforcing neighborliness policy on the agenda of President Raisi's government.

According to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amir-Abdollahian had several meetings with Omanis senior officials, a meeting with the Iranians residing in Muscat, and a meeting with the spokesman of the Yemeni Salvation Government, before leaving the Kingdom of Oman.

Iranian Foreign Minister with the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers in the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said on Monday stressed Iran's seriousness and goodwill in the Vienna talks and also in meeting with Badr bin Hamad al-Baziri, the Foreign Minister of Oman two side discussed topics of mutual interest.
