In a telephone conversation, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, discussed the latest developments in the region and issues of common interest.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Foreign Minister, in a Saturday phone call with Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, highlighted the friendly relations between Tehran and Doha, calling for further expansion of bilateral ties.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has discussed further expansion of bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments with his Qatari and Omani counterparts.

Amir-Abdollahian also commended the positive role played by the government of Qatar in the process of releasing Iran's frozen assets, and the constructive efforts of its high-ranking officials in regional and international developments.

The Qatari foreign minister, who also serves as his country’s prime minister, lauded cordial relations between the governments of Iran and Qatar, stressing the necessity for further strengthening of Tehran-Doha ties.
