Iran Press/Iran News: Abbasali Kadkhodaei added that Martyr Soleimani is known worldwide as a peace-loving man and someone who sacrificed his life to ensure security and peace.
He stated that many demands had been made by Iranian and regional authorities to follow up on the assassination of Martyr Soleimani and to prosecute the perpetrators of this crime, and many steps have been taken.
Noting that the Iranian judiciary is pursuing this terrorist act, he highlighted that the necessary jurisdiction to pursue the crime had been given to the domestic courts. The result would be announced in the next few months.
The official pointed out that the criminal prosecution of this crime was also being investigated at Tehran court.
Kadkhodaei noted that the Iraqi courts also have jurisdiction to pursue this assassination. The necessary investigations are underway, adding that the assassination of Martyr Soleimani violated Iraq's sovereignty on Iraqi soil.
He stressed that appropriate cooperation is underway between the Iranian and Iraqi judiciary to investigate this crime.
He added that there were also documents in the international arena that condemn this crime and the international norm considers Martyr Soleimani's assassination to be against international law.
Kadkhodaei emphasized that assassination is a violation of the Geneva Convention, violation of the 1969 Convention and violation of the force used principle.
