Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Ansari, the head of the central headquarters for Imam Khomeini's commemoration on Tuesday May 29 , held a press briefing and news conference, setting out the details of this year's commemoration and mourning ceremonies for the founder of the Islamic Republic, late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace). Hojjat al-Islam Ansari also talked about the details of this year's memorial service
In further remarks, he said about 10 new books have been published for the occasion.
He went on to say that this year's ceremony , to be held on 19th of Ramadhan, actually coincides with the anniversary of Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (PBUH) being struck on the head by an enemy sword .
Ansari went onto say that all the successes and victories for the Iranian nation were indebted to the greatness, character, intellect , courage, and morality of the architect and founder of the Islamic Republic.
Ansari highlighted divine personality of Imam Khomeini, saying he had been a true devotee of God, the Almighty and possessed divine characteristics. He also referred to the very striking similarities between Imam Ali (PBUH) and the great character of Late Imam.
Imam Khomeini truly exemplified the genuine teachings of the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successors in his lifestyle, he added referring to Iran's Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei he also agreed his remarks that Imam Khomeini had a very unique character .
The scholar concluded by saying that Imam’s divine character changed and transformed history of Iran.
Imam Khomeini throughout his life put emphasis on the importance of self-purification and attaining proximity to Allah, the Almighty, before he began lecturing his students on intellectualism and academic issues.
The Late Imam Khomeini Passed away on 14th Khordad ,1368 (according to the Iranian calendar ), which corresponds to 4th June 1989. May his soul rest in peace.
