Iran Press/ Iran news: The 25th session of the Supreme Council of the province was held on Feb. 1, 2024.
During the event, five members of the council presented their points of view to the speaker of the parliament.
Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf delivered remarks on Thursday, drawing a roadmap for the success of the local councils.
"If we want success, we have to rely on people," the speaker noted.
He stressed the importance of close collaboration between city and village councils and parliament members.
While acknowledging healthy competition between organizations, he warned against allowing it to negatively affect the people.
Ghalibaf clearly stated that councils are meant to serve social needs, not promote political agendas.
He described the greatest political work for councils and municipalities as "good service to the people." 219
