Islamabad (IP) - The CEO of Pakistan Airlines announced a new plan to launch a direct flight from Karachi, the economic heart of Pakistan, to the holy city of Mashhad, aimed at increasing bilateral cooperation on tourism.

Iran PressAsia: Arshad Malek, CEO of Pakistan National Airlines, met with Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Iran's ambassador to Islamabad.                                                                    

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan in aviation, strengthened public relations, and agreed to increase bilateral cooperation.

Currently, the Air Line of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Homa) operates one flight a week from Tehran to Karachi and vice versa, and Mahan Iran Airlines will reportedly resume flights from Tehran and Mashhad to Lahore.
