Tehran(IP)- The Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces met his Pakistani counterpart to discuss issues of mutual interest.

Iran PressIran news: Iran-Pakistan relations have a long history as long as Pakistan's independence and in recent years, Tehran-Islamabad relations have been growing in various sectors.

Pakistan is one of Iran's neighbors, with more than 900 km of land border, which has the longest common border with Iran after Iraq.

According to Iran Press News Agency, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCSC) General Nadim Reza, met with the Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri, on Monday at the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.

General Nadim Reza arrived in Tehran on Sunday at the official invitation of Major General Mohammad Bagheri, with the aim of expanding bilateral cooperation in order to establish lasting security in the region and increase military interactions and joint educational and security cooperation.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Pakistan Army is also scheduled to meet with other senior military officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In recent years, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of the Army Staff of the Pakistan Army has traveled to Tehran several times to meet with high-ranking military officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
