Iran Press/Iran News: The political deputy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalavof.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing fraternal relations and comprehensive cooperation between the Islamic Republic and Azerbaijan.
Araghchi referring to the enemy's attempts to destroy the friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries, said: "The news about the commute of Iranian trucks to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, and the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan is a pure lie."
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs went on to add that the Islamic Republic of Iran while respecting the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, opposed any action that would provoke a conflict between the two neighboring countries of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi also thanked the Republic of Azerbaijan for its humanitarian aid to Iran in the fight against coronavirus, saying: "Resuming the flow of transport and transit of goods between the two countries according to the observance of health protocols, is an important point in the relations between Iran and Azerbaijan."
Referring to the quarantine situation and the closure of universities, he called on the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan to assist in repatriating Iranian students and compatriots to the country, which was welcomed by Azerbaijan's official.
