Tehran (IP) - Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said that the inauguration of the national developmental projects would give the message to the world that the nation of Iran would not stop moving in the path of pride and excellence.

Iran Press/Iran newsRouhani's remarks came as he has been attending the inauguration ceremony of some national developmental projects including the second line of the Karaj-Qazvin railway.

In a ceremony of lunching transportation and road construction projects on Thursday, Hassan Rouhani highlighted the importance of the people's health and livelihood reminding that the transportation section of the country shoulders the major burden in anti-COVID 19 campaign.

Rouhani referred to transportation as a basic need and right of the people, which came under heavy pressure due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, noting that the section resumes its activities provided that the people observe the health protocols. 

He stressed that a major part of foreign exchange, exports, and production is considered as the responsibility and the mission of the transportation section.

Rouhani promised that more rail and road projects will be inaugurated in the country by the end of the year. 

The Iranian President said the projects are launched in the tough year amid both Covid-19 outbreak and sanctions, remarking that Iran never stops its way to pride and excellence.  

President Hassan Rouhani made the remarks in the inauguration ceremony of national transportation projects in Alborz Province, west to Tehran the capital, Mazandaran Province in northern Iran, and Ilam Province, west of the country. 

The ceremony held through video conferencing and was attended by the Minister of Road and Urban Development.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, on Thursday, inaugurated the projects, referring to the US' brutal and illegal sanctions against Iran, and appreciating the jihadist efforts of the organizers and workers of these projects.

In total, more than 2,420 people have been directly employed for the eight projects that were officially inaugurated in Iran. 

With the completion of seven projects that the President of Iran has ordered to start today, stable employment will be created for 14,530 people.
