Iran Press/ Iran news: Today (Wednesday), June 17, 2020, coincides with the 25th of Shawwal, 1441 AH, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ja'far Sadeq(AS), the sixth Imam of the Shias of the world.
Every year people in Iran used to gather in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), the 8th Shias' Imam, in Mashhad of Razavi Khorasan in northeastern Iran to express condolence to their Imam.
Yet, due to the corona pandemic this year, the mourning ceremony was not held in the mausoleum.
The martyrdom ceremony of Imam Sadeq (AS) was held in other cities of Iran with the health protocols and social-distancing observed.
