Iran Press/ Middle East: The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad, Iraj Masjedi, met with Qassem al-Araji on Monday, congratulating him on his appointment as National Security Advisor of Iraq.
Masjedi referred to the history of comprehensive ties between the two countries and stressed Tehran's readiness to further develop and deepen relations and cooperation on security and military issues.
The Iraqi National Security Adviser, while appreciating Iran's assistance in the fight against terrorism, said that the relations and cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad are in the interest of the two countries.
The two sides stressed the need to observe health protocols due to Coronavirus, saying that this problem should not have a negative effect on trade activities and travel between Iran and Iraq.
Brigadier General Mostafa Moradian, Iran's military attaché in Iraq, was also present in this meeting.
