Iran Press/ Iran news: Ebrahim Raisi, in a phone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani on Wednesday afternoon, while congratulating the 15th day of the Month of Shaaban, or Mid-Sha'ban, which marks the birthday of the twelfth Shia Imam, Imam Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Mahdi (AS), said: the relations between the two nations of Iran and Iraq are warm and historic. And it is rooted in culture, civilization, and deep shared beliefs.
Reviewing the latest status of economic cooperation between the two countries, especially the constructive agreements made during the recent visit of the Iraqi Prime Minister to Tehran, the President stressed the need to strengthen cooperation, especially in the fields of energy, industry, trade, finance, and banking.
In this telephone conversation, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, also congratulated the government and nation of Iran on the birthday of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) and stated: The government and nation of Iraq have always appreciated the support and assistance of their Iranian brothers, especially in difficult times.
