Iran condemns Minneapolis police violence

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a tweet condemned US police violence which led to the death in custody of George Floyd on Monday.

Iran Press/Iran News: "6 yrs after 'I can't breathe' pleas of Eric Garner, #GeorgeFloyd, another black man, dies after a cruel, inhumane arrest. It seems that US #PoliceBrutality against blacks knows no boundaries. And as always, the response to calls for justice is employing even more force," Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran mentioned in a tweet.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey fired 4 cops following the death in custody of George Floyd on Monday because the suspect was pressed shirtless onto a Minneapolis road, one officer’s knee on his neck.

It shows an officer pinning Floyd by the neck for at least seven minutes, even after he goes limp.

US police killed nearly 200 people in the first four months of 2020, according to reports.
