Mohammad Javad Zarif

Iranian Foreign Minister has said B-Team remnants are trying to lure the US president into a war with Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: #B_Team took @realDonaldTrump for an easy mark who could be lied to and pushed to war—and the US military as their personal mercenary," Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a tweet early on Saturday according to Iran Press.

Zarif coined the term B Team to indicate that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, former US National Security Adviser John Bolton and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu constitute a group that wants to push the United States toward war with Iran.

In another post on his Twitter account on Friday, Zarif said that US-allied Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates apparently want to "fight Iran to the last American."

He once again reiterated that Iran has no "desire for war" but emphasized that the Islamic Republic will defend and has always defended its people and nation.

Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said last week that Israeli officials "played" President Donald Trump in their conversations with him, warning that a "healthy amount of skepticism" is needed in dealings with Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
