Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) says several satellites are waiting to be launched in the new Persian year.

Iran PressIran news: Isa Zarepour told Iran Press on Wednesday that efforts have been made to launch several measurement satellites in the year ahead to provide images from space. 

Zarepour said Iran is among the top five countries in the world in terms of space research and development.

He also pointed to the smartization of the governmental services part of which was done and admired by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

He said the process would be continued: "Last year 70% of government services were provided through the integrated system of the government and 12% of which were done through smartization, this year we are trying to bring it to 30%". 204
