Iran Press/ Iran News: Attending his weekly press conference, Khatibzadeh responded to Iran Press's question regarding Iran, India, and Russia’s cooperation to create peace and stability in Afghanistan and fighting ISIS.
"Iran tries to create a proper relationship with all neighbors, whether those who have common land borders with us or common sea border," he noted.
He went on to say that Iran-India relations are bilateral, deep and both quality and quantity of ties are emphasized.
"Iran-India relation is old and historical and the transit map road of Iran’s south to the north proves that," Khatibzadeh added.
One of the main principles of Iran’s foreign diplomacy is “balanced diplomacy”, he highlighted.
"Iran as one of the main powers in the region plays its role to create peace and stability in the region and cooperates with neighboring countries in this regard," the spokesman stated.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Iran's Special Representative for Afghanistan paid a constructive visit to Kabul and met with all officials, and the Senior Assistant Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji also visited Geneva, where had also some meeting with officials.
The Iranian diplomat also said in response to a question that "We seriously expect the United Arab Emirates to correct its mistakes and Iran regards its national security as greatly important."
Regarding the decision of Serbia and Kosovo to move its embassy to Beit-ul-Moqaddas, he said: "Iran has always tried and welcomed the resolution of the conflict between Serbia and Kosovo. Any transfer of embassies to Beit-ul-Moqaddas is against the norm and does not have the support of the international community."
In response to a question about Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov's remarks regarding Russia's readiness to assist indirect talks between Iran and the United States, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said: "We have no doubt about the intentions of our friends in Russia, but what is doubtful is the US intentions, actions and behavior and we judge by the actions of countries."
Khatibzadeh said: "Obviously, the direction of our policies towards the United States has not changed and the United States is still arrogant and has imposed economic terrorism against the Iranian nation and has no shame to say publicly that it is waiting for the hunger of his nation is and until this behavior does not change, Iran's policy will not change."
In response to a question, the Foreign Ministry spokesman noted: "Iran has clearly stated its policies. It has taken five steps to scale back its nuclear obligations under the JCPOA and has been verified by the IAEA. Of course, all of Iran's actions are reversible, subject to the other parties fulfilling their obligations."
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out about the Turkish attacks on the PKK: " The issue of Kurdistan is the issue of a homeland for Iran and Iran does not see every issue as a Kurdish related one. There are terrorist groups that are abusing the joint borders of Iraq, Iran, and Turkey, and some camps were attacked in Iraq. No villages have been attacked and action has been taken against the camps. Iran is the only country in the region that has named one major highway Kurdistan and one province Kurdistan."
He added: "Just as we do not tolerate insecurity on other borders, we do not tolerate it there. The territorial integrity of Iraq has been and is a red line for us, and some concerns are expressed by Turkey, which we tell them should not invade the territorial integrity of Iraq."
