The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tbilisi and the Prime Minister of Georgia have stressed the need to develop and strengthen bilateral relations.

Iran PressAsia: The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tbilisi, Seyed Javad Ghavam Shahidi, and the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, on Tuesday met to review the relations between the two countries and look at the important regional issues.

They expressed hope that through overcoming the current problems, the relations between Iran and Georgia will be expanded and developed on the basis of a common culture and civilization.

The Iranian ambassador to Tbilisi also recently met with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, and the two sides discussed the development of relations between Tehran and Tehran.
