Iran Press/ Iran News: During the conversation on Thursday, Iran's FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian referred to the Ukrainian war and told his Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto that Iran opposed the continuation of the war and that the US and Europe arm cargos sent to the country had made the Ukrainian situation more sophisticated.
Amir-Abdollahian also explained the status quo of talks for lifting sanctions on Iran to Finnish FM.
Pekka Haavisto, for his part, reiterated Finland's support for the revival of the Iranian international nuclear agreement or the so-called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
He appreciated Iran for hosting the Afghan refugees for four decades and said that his country was ready to cooperate Iran in helping the refugees.
The foreign ministers of Iran and Finland emphasized strengthening bilateral relations by giving the ninety years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
