Iran Press/ Middle East: Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian discussed bilateral cooperation and regional developments in a telephone conversation with his Turkmen counterpart Raşit Meredow.
Amirabdollahian assessed the cooperation between the two countries in the transit and Turkmen gas swap through the Islamic Republic of Iran as important.
Referring to the agreement between the two countries on holding a joint economic commission early next year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said that his country has no restrictions on the development of relations with Iran.
Meredow also assessed the cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran in international forums, including ECO and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as important and announced his country's readiness to cooperate in the fight against terrorism within the framework of international rules.
