Iran's FM to France's FM:

New York (IP): Iran's foreign minister told his French counterpart that Tehran doubts the seriousness of the Biden administration in returning to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran PressAmerica: Following the meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian met to discuss bilateral issues, the nuclear agreement, and the situation in Afghanistan.

"France is concerned about the delay in the resumption of nuclear talks [in Vienna] and is interested in resuming it as soon as possible," Le Drian said, adding that France also wants full cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Le Drian recalled the invitation of the French government to Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to visit Paris at a meeting in Baghdad, and renewed the invitation, saying that the French government is waiting for the visit of the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran to this country.

Iran's Foreign Minister for his part said that French President Emmanuel Macron's two phone calls with the new Iranian president showed the importance that the two sides attach to bilateral relations.

The Iranian Foreign Minister thanked the French side for inviting, also invited the French Foreign Minister to Tehran, and said that the new administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in expanding bilateral and regional cooperation.

At the same time, the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed regret over the lack of serious and practical action by the United States and the three European countries in fulfilling their obligations, saying: "In returning to the talks, practical and tangible results are extremely important for the Iranian people."

He reminded that the current US administration has not taken any serious and practical steps to return to its obligations under the JCPOA and, on the contrary, has imposed new sanctions against Iran, saying: "Iran doubts the seriousness of the Biden administration in returning to the JCPOA."
