Iran's Defense Minister in a phone conversation with Iraqi Defense Minister on Friday, warned that a potential Israeli ground offensive in the Gaza Strip will further complicate the situation.

Iran PressIran news: "The entry of Israeli troops into Gaza and a ground operation there will make the situation more complicated from a humanitarian and security point of view," Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani told Iraqi Defense Minister Thabet al-Abbas on Friday.

He said the US government supports the brutal Israeli regime by sending shipments of weapons and supplying the requirements of the Tel Aviv regime from its bases in the region.

Meanwhile, on Friday Israeli war minister Yoav Gallant Speaking at a meeting of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee in Tel Aviv, said that the the war will have three main phases.

“We are in the first phase, in which a military campaign is taking place with airstrikes and later with a ground maneuver with the purpose of "destroying operatives and damaging infrastructure in order to defeat and destroy Hamas,".

He said the second phase will be continued fighting but at a lower intensity as troops work to “eliminate pockets of resistance.” 205
