Tehran (IP) - In a ceremony with the participation of Iranian senior military officials production line and the first model of the Yasin training jet were unveiled by Iran’s Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Gharaei Ashtiani and the Commander of the Iranian Army's Air Force Brig. Gen. Hamid Vahedi.

According to Iran press, the new Yasin training jet prototype was unveiled this morning (Saturday, March 11) in the presence of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, Iran's Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics

In this ceremony, the mass production line of Yasin's advanced training jet was also inaugurated.

The Minister of Defense paid a visit to the construction stages of Yassin's training jet.

Defense Minister: Yasin can be used as combat and close support aircraft 

The Minister of Defense and Logistics of Iran's Armed Forces said on the sidelines of the unveiling of the Yasin training jet mass production prototype and production line that the Yasin jet can be a combat and close support aircraft as well.

Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, the Minister of Defense and Logistics of the Iranian Armed Forces, stated that one of the concerns of the Iranian Armed Forces is to improve pilot training because pilot training has great importance and it is necessary for our country.

Brigadier Ashtiani stated that the aviation industry of the Ministry of Defense of Iran started designing the Yasin training jet years ago, the second generation of which was unveiled today. Combat aircraft and close air support were also used.

Yasin training jet will make the training more comprehensive 

Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, Chief Commander of the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, also said in this ceremony that in the past, jet pilots were trained abroad, and due to the sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic, this sector was the first place to be affected by these sanctions which made us unable to follow training abroad.

Brigadier General Vahedi added that the use of the Yasin training jet will make the training period more comprehensive and shorter.

According to Iran Press, pilot training is one of the high-level and complex training that not every country can do.

The Islamic Republic of Iran in the fields of knowledge and technology has succeeded in achieving the findings of education at the level of international standards, and piloting as a combined educational field is no exception to this rule.

After the end of the imposed war, Iran had an opportunity to deal with this important issue. After the end of the war, the necessity of learning this skill was put on the agenda of the officials of the armed forces, and since then and thanks to the opinion of experienced veterans as professors, pilot schools have been formed.

Since this skill is a combination of knowledge and skill, it requires special methods and tools that form the basis of the training jet.
