Iran Press/ Iran News: According to Iran Press News Agency, no foreign pilgrims will be allowed to perform the Hajj again this year after Saudi Arabia restricted the annual pilgrimage to citizens and residents and set a maximum of 60,000 pilgrims in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Referring to Riyadh's decision, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, Abdul Fattah Nawab, said that Saudi Arabia, as it did last year, had a delay in announcing the decision. At the same time, it could accept few pilgrims from other countries.
Regardless of the views of Islamic countries, this year, Saudis limited Hajj to its citizens and residents, Nawab said.
“Those wishing to perform the Hajj must be free of chronic diseases and be vaccinated,and between the ages of 18 and 65," the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in a statement on Saturday.
