Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Saturday that in the past 24 hours, 283 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 74,524.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to May 08, 2021, 2,640,670 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 2,092,381 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 13,576 cases, out of whom 2,026 patients were hospitalized.

5,545 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 16,929,609 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 46 cities are red, 263 are orange, and 139 are yellow zones.

So far, 1,286,004 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, and 262,611 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 1,548,615 doses.
