Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Ministry of Health Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari on Friday reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus.
She said, "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to August 12 in the country, 2,510 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 333,699".
1,089 of the new patients were hospitalized, Lari reported.
The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 188 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 18,988 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
3,940 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.
"So far, around 2,763,225 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.
According to the spokeswoman, Mazandaran, Tehran, Qom, Golestan, North Khorasan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, Semnan, East Azerbaijan, Markazi, Yazd, and Gilan provinces are in red.“The provinces of Fars, Ilam, Lorestan, Hormozgan, Zanjan, Qazvin, West Azerbaijan, Bushehr, Hamedan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad are also on alert."
