Iran Press/ Iran news: Baghaei asserted that the people of Palestine, the region, and the world would not forget this complicity in war crimes.
In a post on his X account on Thursday, Baghaei referenced the deadly Israeli airstrike on Gaza’s Al-Ahli Al-Mamadani Hospital, marking its anniversary. The October 17, 2023, attack killed over 500 civilians, including women and children. "Let’s remind ourselves that cruelty knows no limit when accompanied by ideological narcissism and impunity," Baghaei wrote.
The Israeli genocide in Gaza, which began with an Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of at least 42,344 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. More than 99,000 others have been injured, as relentless airstrikes and artillery shelling continue to devastate the besieged territory. Large swaths of Gaza’s infrastructure have been obliterated, leaving its residents in dire humanitarian conditions.
Despite international outcry, Baghaei said, the US and its European allies of turning a blind eye to these atrocities.
The airstrike on the Al-Ahli Hospital, which Baghaei referred to as "the first case of a war crime by Israel in the early days of its genocidal campaign," drew global condemnation. He emphasized that innocent civilians had sought refuge in the hospital, only to be brutally killed.
“This horrific massacre was just the beginning,” Baghaei added. “The Israeli regime has continued its carnage in Gaza, expanding its assault on Palestinians across their occupied homeland, enjoying full impunity granted by the US and some European countries.”
