Tehran(IP)- Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his counterpart from Brunei Darussalam Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof met and held talks on issues of mutual interests in Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: The two diplomats exchanged views on bilateral and regional issues, following a phone conversation last year where they vowed to strengthen ties between their countries.

During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian expressed his hope to meet Yusof in person in Tehran and welcomed the development of relations between Iran and Brunei Darussalam. He also appreciated Brunei's positive stance in international forums.

The Iranian foreign minister called for the establishment of a technical committee by the two countries to increase technical, trade, scientific, and economic relations. Additionally, they discussed the latest developments in occupied Palestine and condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime.

The meeting between Amir-Abdollahian and Yusof highlights Iran's efforts to strengthen its relationships with Southeast Asian nations.
