Iran Press- Iran/ Iran's representative at the security conference, liaison police officer, Yusef Musapour, stressed that security is of paramount importance and a prerequisite for expansion of ties among nations. Representatives of more than 35 countries attended the meeting.
Police officer Musapour added: "Security is the base of expansion of ties among nations. With security, political, economic, cultural and other relations will have their real values. According to our religious teachings, security and health are two blessings that are taken for granted and will be truly appreciated if they are at stake."
He stressed the establishment of a permanent secretariat for closer cooperation of member-states of 'One Belt, One Road' initiative in security matters and exchange of experiences on important issues, IRNA reported.
Earlier on 28th May 2018, the eighteenth heads of state summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has been held in the city of Qingdao, in eastern China. Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani delivered a keynote speech at the summit.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit (SCO) in Qingdao, China.
Rouhani hailed close ties between Russia and Iran. Iran has an observer status in the SCO, and Putin said Moscow supports Iran's full-fledged membership of the organization.
Regional security dominated the summit, Wang told reporters during a media briefing.
SCO member countries will formulate new measures to deal with shared security concerns, such as the so-called "Three Evil Forces" – referring to separatism, extremism and terrorism – as well as drug trafficking and cybercrimes, Wang said.
