Iran Press/ Iran News: According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) statistics, from the beginning of this year to the end of December 2021, 122 million and 500 thousand tons of goods worth 72 billion and one hundred million dollars were exchanged between Iran and other countries, compared to the same period last year shows 11% growth in weight and 38% in value.
The head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Gholamhossein Shafei said: "Improving relations with neighbors and other countries in the region, can significantly reduce costs imposed on Iranian exporters and producers and act be evaluated as a driving force for the Islamic country's export development."
Shafei added: "Increasing export and import partners, in terms of creating diversity in Iran's export portfolio will increase economic productivity and ensure the country's economic security."
With less than three months to go until the end of 1400 (March 2022), Iran's foreign trade exceeded $ 72 billion in the first nine months of this year.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) of Iran also announced that if the current trend of the country's foreign trade continues, it would reach $ 98 billion by the end of the year.
