Tehran (IP) – In an interview with Iran Press, the International Organization Migration (IOM)’s Deputy Director-General said that IOM is trying to support Iran and extend its ties regarding managing the migrants.

Iran PressIran News: Denise Ugochi Daniel stated that IOM is working hard to provide migrants with health, medical supplies, and shelter here in Iran.

"Meeting with UN agencies at Tehran and the imposed sanctions have been discussed seriously at IOM, and I reminded them how vulnerable are the sanctions against Iranians," she noted.

"We continue to raise the issue at the international level, and we also have the opportunity to clarify what we as UN do in Iran," she said.

She further pointed out that Iran and IOM need to establish a technical working group to monitor the refugees' cases.

She highlighted that IOM would extend its offices in Iran for more support.
